Background

About Robiul.

Robiul began working on the open web in 2013, running SEO and Google Business Profile programs for independent shops, multi-location retailers and professional service firms across the UK and US. Over nine years he shipped work for more than 400 businesses, most of it invisible to the outside world - technical audits, on-page rebuilds, local citation cleanups, and the slow grind of getting a small brand to rank where its customers were actually searching.

By 2018 he was consulting exclusively on reputation. A hospitality client he was advising watched a single competitor-planted 1-star review drop their weekend bookings by 34%. The tooling available at the time gave him a choice between automated black-box platforms that risked account suspension, and generic marketing agencies that treated reviews as a bolt-on. Neither was safe. Robiul founded BGR Review in 2019 to build the third option: a specialist practice run by senior operators who understood platform policy at the level of a Google Trust & Safety reviewer, not a marketer.

Since 2019 BGR Review has served 15,000+ businesses across 40+ countries with 1,240+ verified named clients. Robiul still chairs the weekly escalation review where any removal case flagged as high-risk is walked through in front of the full specialist team before a single ticket is opened. He owns the policy rulebook the entire team operates against, and he approves every methodology change before it reaches a client account.

Outside client work he speaks and writes on trust systems, Google's evolving spam policies, and how AI-generated review floods are changing reputation defence for small businesses. He is based in London and holds product responsibility for the client, team, and admin dashboards used across the platform.

How Robiul thinks about the work

A reputation practice is only as trustworthy as the worst tactic it ships. That's why nothing at BGR Review moves to a client account until it's survived a policy read, a senior operator read, and my own escalation review. We would rather turn a request down than put an account at risk.

The web is being rewritten by AI search. Google's AI Overviews, Perplexity and ChatGPT search now decide what a brand is before a customer ever clicks a link. Reputation used to be a rating on a page - now it's the training data those systems quote. That raises the stakes on every review, response and profile detail we manage.

Ask Robiul

Answers, straight from the specialist.

Do you personally work on client accounts?+

I lead every Thursday escalation review, own the policy rulebook the whole team operates against, and personally sign off any removal case flagged as high-risk. Day-to-day account work is run by our specialists - Adam, Perves and Emily - so you get senior operators on the work and me on the risk decisions.

Why did you start BGR Review instead of joining an existing platform?+

In 2018 every option I looked at forced clients to choose between fully automated black-box tools that risked profile suspension, or generic agencies treating reviews as a bolt-on. I wanted a practice that was senior-operator led, policy-first, and honest about what removal can and can't do. That practice didn't exist, so I built it.

What kind of businesses do you work with directly?+

I take a hands-on role for enterprise multi-location brands, regulated industries (legal, healthcare, financial services), and any case with public relations exposure. Everyone else is in expert hands with the wider team.
